• Assessment takes　3 WORKING DAYS OR MORE FOR KUWAITI NATIONALS, and 6 WORKING DAYS OR MORE FOR NON KUWAITI NATIONAL, from the date of acceptance.

3. Submit Your Documents to the Embassy (8:00 - 11:30)
   ◇◆ IMPORTANT NOTICE◆◇

• Aim to arrive on time to your appointment.
• You will be requested to present your Civil ID at the security entrance.
• All the documents must be physically submitted by PRINTED PAPER - WE DO NOT HAVE ANY METHOD OF ONLINE SUBMISSION.
• We may require additional documents according to the officer’s assessment.
• The original passport of the applicant should contain at least 2 empty pages. In case of insufficiency, passport should be renewed in advance. 
• After your application is accepted by the Embassy, you will receive a receipt from us – DO NOT LOSE IT as it functions as your entry permit to the Embassy on your next appointment day  

1. Pick-up Your VISA and Payment

• Bring （1）  Receipt and （2）  VISA fee (amount is written on your receipt) and come to the Consular Section on your appointed day.

• We accept CASH ONLY – with EXACT AMOUNT (NO K-NET, NO CHANGE).
• Fees are subject to change each year with effect from 1^st April.

The Embassy of Japan in the State of Kuwait accepts following VISA applications:

• Short-term Stay for Tourism (Single-entry / Double-entries)
  ※ Multiple-entries VISA is NOT available for tourism
• Short-term Stay for Business (Single-entry / Double-entries / Multiple-entries)
• Short-term Stay for Family-Related or Acquaintance Visit

Fees may vary depending on each nationality - it will be only disclosed at the Consular Section window when your application is accepted, NOT OVER THE PHONE.

＜ VISA Fee Exemption – for ALL Nationalities ＞

• Applicant visiting one of the prefectures of （1） Okinawa, （2） Fukushima, （3） Miyagi

（4） Iwate, is eligible for VISA fee exemption, only with (a) flight or train reservation(s) and (b) hotel reservation(s) to prove the stay.

• Applicant visiting Expo Osaka Kansai 2025 (13 April 2025 ~ 13 October 2025) with the proof of visit (namely entry ticket) is eligible for VISA fee exemption.
