Japan-Kuwait 60th Anniversary for Establishing Diplomatic Relations

2021 will mark the 60^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the state of Kuwait. And to commemorate this significant occasion, the Embassy of Japan is planning to hold a number of cultural events in order to deepen the Kuwaiti people’s understanding of Japan, and to further develop bilateral relations and people-to-people friendship. Therefore, the Embassy of Japan is inviting the public to submit designs for the “Logo Design Contest”. The submitted designs will be evaluated strictly and fairly, and the winner logo will be used to promote the 60^th anniversary’s events.
 

• Application Guidelines
• Eligibility: Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of nationality, age, or place of residence.
• Deadline: Submissions must be received by February 14, 2021.
• For logo submission and any other inquiry, please email to Embassy of Japan in Kuwait (dana.zibar@kw.mofa.go.jp)
• Evaluation method: the logo selection process will be conducted in the Embassy of Japan and the winner logo design will be used as the official logo of the 60^th anniversary
• Result announcement: the result will be announced on the website of Embassy of Japan in Kuwait, and Embassy’s social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook)
• Prize: the winner will receive a certificate and gift from the Ambassador of Japan.

 

• How to submit your design
  Please send the application form and your logo design in an email entitled “60^th anniversary logo contest” to dana.zibar@kw.mofa.go.jp. We regret to inform you that we do not accept submission through Instagram messages or any other ways via SNS.
• Application
• The application form should be sent as Microsoft Word file (.DOCX)
• Please download the application from embassy of Japan’s website
• Logo description: The explanation of your logo should be approximately 100 words long. Please include your name, age, occupation, your interest in Japan and explanation of the logo
• Logo design data
• File format: your logo should be sent as JPEG or PDF files and no larger than 3 MG and with resolution of at least 300 dpi. It should fit on an A4 paper when printed.
• Please submit both colors black-and-white versions of your design (no restrictions on the number of colors, gradations).
• You may submit as many logo designs as you wish.

 

• Points to note
• Submitted logo designs must be new, not previously published anywhere, and must not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, etc., of any third parties.
• Submission that is offensive to public sensibilities, violates laws or religionn, infringing on copyrights or other third party, will be disqualified. The selected design will be withdrawn from use if it’s later found to violate any of these conditions.
• The selected design will be subject to any edits, alterations or processing necessary for use. In case our modification is unacceptable, the selected design will be cancelled.
• All rights to submitted designs and the copyright to the selected logo will belong to Embassy of Japan in Kuwait. Those submitting designs agree to relinquish all rights and interests in the designs. In principle, submitted designs will not be altered other than to adjust size, convert to black-and-white, or to translate into Japanese, Arabic or English.
• The selected logo may be withdrawn from use if any information submitted with the design is later found to be false.
• The selected logo design in its final form will be used by Embassy of Japan in Kuwait, and distributed to parties authorized by Embassy of Japan in Kuwait, in conjunction for the 60^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the State of Kuwait.
• Personal information (other than name and affiliation) of those submitting logo designs will not be disclosed or offered to third parties without the designer’s permission.
• Receipt of submissions will not be acknowledged, and authors of designs not selected will not be contacted. We regret that no inquiries concerning the judgment process can be accepted
