Award Ceremony of Japan Animation Film Festival Essay Contest
The Embassy held a ceremony to give awards to students who submitted excellent essays on the two animation films "Nausicaa" and "Draemon" shown at Japan Animation Film Festival on March 8 and 9. The ceremony took place at Ambassador's Residence on April 23. In addition to 10 awardees, 5 for each film, around 70 students and teachers from British School of Kuwait and Kuwait English School participated in it and had a good time.

Charges d' affaires Minister Yamamoto made a speech. He said, "Animes have the power to go beyond differences in culture, language and even religion. I hope Japanese pop culture can be a "gateway" for Kuwaitis to understand Japanese culture and people."
Ejimin Tapeh, Rima Taftaf, Zaid Al-Idris, Omar Al-Khayat and Dana Jamal received prizes for their essays on "Nausicaa"
Abdurrahman Al-Saleh, Halima Boloki, Ariane Anantapthi, Maysaa Shaalan and Natapong Walk received prizes for their essays on "Draemon"
